Sales of albums Beastie Boys soared until 1235 Percent
Jakarta - The sales of albums by the legendary hip-hop trio the Beastie Boys jumped dramatically since the reported death of Adam Yauch week.
Billboard reported that the increase reached up to 1235 percent with a turnover of 55 000 copies last week. During the last week album sales reached only 4,000 pieces.
This increase makes Licenced To Ill, the first successful rap album entered the charts in the history of the Billboard 200, sits in the top 18 to 19 000 copies sold.
While albums such as the Beastie Boys Paul's Boutique, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, Ill Communication, Check Your Head, and the Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science back to roost on the Billboard 200.
Not only the physical, the Beastie Boys album sales in the virtual world also increased. While not as big as his physical sales reached 151 000 downloads in the last week. It rose 949 percent of sales in the previous week, which is only able to reach 14 000 times the downloads.
