There are many definitions to define a ghost. Ghosts that we often hear in general is the spirit that is around us who have left the body because it has died. There are 2 types of ghosts around us, that ghosts and evil good. Many people believe in the existence of ghosts in the face of this earth. Although few are ever saw.

Ghosts are often encountered in Indonesia, namely the ghost kuntilanak and pocong. However, there are several kinds of ghosts that may be encountered in some parts of Indonesia. Kid-style streets will discuss two of the most famous ghost in Tana Toraja. The second ghost is Po'pok and Batitong.


1. Batitong

When you walk in Toraja, you might hear the phrase 'Torroko Torroko Nakande Ko Batitong'. This sentence means that if you're lagging far behind / slow down your way later you will be eaten by a ghost. According to the elders there, ghost is the evil spirit that comes from women who had died during childbirth and the use of man to get what he wants. Dirasukinya humans have characteristics on the forehead, the head or hands are sort of light. This ghost in action on day and night. These ghosts are often found near water such as rice fields, ditches, rivers, and swamps. Victims of these ghosts is usually mothers who are pregnant and buffalo. To get rid of the Toraja people use wood or wood pallan distance (language Toraja to timber distance) and the ghosts that too will die. There also are using the mat. This mat was held at the border village and on it there manikata (jewelry from Toraja). If they manage to kill him, they will hold the event the offering is often called Ma'manuk Tallu. 2. Po'pok

This ghost is also the evil spirits who manipulate humans to get his wish. According to the story there, the ghost is easily permeated people infected, because the descent and one of using witchcraft. These creatures often appear at night. The realization of these creatures can be a winged human, and animals like pigs or birds. According to the people there, this ghost takes the human heart and the human heart supine sleep that the situation is very ill. These ghosts also eat fruits and suck human blood and animal blood.
